This weekend was a pleasure! Our Nashville debut was really spectacular, and we (dare we say it?) blew the roof off the famed BlueBird Cafe!

What a great weekend, with awesome crowds at Steve's Live Music and Blowin Smoke too!

We've been brought back to the WDVX Blue Plate Special Radio Show in Knoxville, TN for an encore performance and interview.

Standing O for New Song - Thank you so much!

Last weekend, we played one of our newest songs, an instrumental called "Song for Vrba". The Canton audience loved it and it really made our night....

The story behind the song is about Rudolph Vrba, a prisoner who successfully escaped The Auschwitz Concentration Camp during W.W.II. He was able to make his way to Budapest. Instead of going into hiding which was his safest choice, Rudolph went to the Jewish Council and told them of the atrocities he witnessed and the tens of thousands of murders occurring daily. It is estimated by doing so, Rudolph Vrba saved as many as 120,000 Hungarian Jews and people the Nazis considered "not fit for life".

This song is a bit sad, real fast, and mysterious, but definitely musically touches upon the challenges and drama of such a great and heroic escape.

We'll be playing this song, and several other new pieces while on tour this winter. We've got lots of shows starting in February, so please check our show list and come on out for some new Gypsy.......

This Weekend in New England...

We are hoping to roll out some of our new songs again for you, and play some of our old favorites this weekend too.  We need our fans to come out to help us warm up this SuperBowl weekend in New England!

We'll be playing Friday night (2/1) in Brattleboro, VT at the Hooker-Dunham Theater & Gallery 

 

and also Saturday night (2/2) in Windsor, CT for the Northwest Park Concert Series. Detailed show info & directions can be found on their websites and tickets are available at the door!

What a Wonderful Winter.....

We have been so fortunate to have some great violinists play with us recently.  Again, this winter, the super-talented Eli Bishop will be joining us for the New England leg of our tour, then he is off to play with Wynton Marsalis for a bit. Nice job Eli!!

And on second leg of tour, we are privileged to have prodigy Yuki Nakajima smokin' up the South with us. We think she'll add a special take on our playlist, which also includes some new tunes...
